The Chainsmokers are back with the follow up single of their crazy huge track “selfie”. Interesting tune that ticks all the boxes for their style. Good production as we’ve come to expect from the chainsmokers. Bit of a dubstep break down and some bounce style drops are all in there. Sirens signing is strong although i feel the lyrics let it down a tad. I don’t quite understand the “i wanna be like kanye” thing, maybe that hash tag hasn’t hit our shores yet?Certainly a crowd pleaser.
Willsparks is back. With a fairly deep Melbourne style tune to boot. This one is pretty cut and dry, straight up melbourne bounce style tune. If your not sure what that is your about to get an education from one of the best. The track really speaks for it’s self a strong bounce style off beat bass with glitchy saw wave lead and a nice bit of energy to roll with it. No doubt you’ll be able to catch willsparks at your local mega club, check his facey for details. The track is out now on Ultra
The brisbane lads Bikslow have been a little slow over the past few months but this new one makes up for lost time. Released on Plasma Digital the track is a nice progy big room certified banger with some seiously cool driving bass complete with cow bell. The track was released a couple of days ago you can pick up a copy here on beatprot
Perfection has many faces but when it comes to electronic dance music there is one that currently stands above the rest. The authetic and highly contagious Norwegian DJ and producer known as Kygo has achieved more than 50 million plays in a little over a year. He started making deep house remixes and throwing them up on his soundcloud. Before you know it he branches into his own genre of something I couldn’t even begin to describe and has the entire world at the edge of their chairs!
This time last month he was on Diplo & Friends being personally called out by Diplo as a truly remarkable figure in the scene. There is nothing more I can really say. Kygo is by far the hottest rising producer in the world. This official remix of Coldplay’s “Midnight” is a testament to that. Pete Tong premiered this remix to the world a few hours ago on BBC Radio 1 and we have it here for your streaming purposes! Stay tuned for release information…
In my day to day soundcloud travel i generally stumble across amazing music. This time around i stumbled across something a little different but no less amazing. A nine track EP from UK’s Faze Action. Maybe i’m slow on the up take with these guys as they have quite the body of work behind them. I really really vibed the EP and it gave me a good change from the norm. Its more on the indie electro side i guess but still kinda hard to categorise. Have

Faze Action are the brothers that are working it out
It’s their unique knack for taking timeless sounds from the past and reinventing them for future generations that makes Faze Action what it is. Add to that a mixture of elements from disco, classical, Latin and jazz with house music sensibilities, keeps the forward-thinking brothers ahead of the curve. Whether the London based duo are in the studio or playing sets to festival crowds, their devotion to delivering music with both depth and accessibility has earned the respect of loyal and new fans around the world.
It was with Faze Action’s second release, the much-lauded, cello-led classic, “In the Trees” that they cemented their position as dance floor innovators and incited what would later be labelled the disco revolution. You’d think their early success as “the brothers that made disco acceptable again” and the flagship act of the legendary Nuphonic label would define the Faze Action sound. But with four critically acclaimed albums and countless remixes with artists as varied as Femi Kuti, Francois Kevorkian, Oddyssey, Metronomy, Crazy P and Saint Etienne, Faze Action have spent over a decade refining their signature lyrical and musical style and showcasing their ever-evolving dedication to disco.
Faze Action have crisscrossed the globe as DJs and a full live act to deliver music that ignites the dance floor in unexpected ways. It may be surprising to some that the firm belief in sharing music with a broad audience on your own terms can escape the trappings of the self-serving demands of club culture. Yet that is exactly what Faze Action has proven can bring people closer together. The ultimate purpose remains unchanged but you never grow tired of it. You delightfully crave more. It can be familiar and deeply exotic at the same time. It can be fresh and rare and there’s no denying that it will make you want to dance.
Faze Action makes good music that people want to be a part of. Sometimes it’s as simple as that.

Avicii’s massively successful single “You Make Me” just got an incredible nu-disco / electro-house remix from fresh new producer Throttle from Melbourne. He layers in some new melodies while arranging the original vocals and piano line perfectly. It leads up to a funky upbeat drop that you can believe came out of Madeon. We have the full stream of the song below and you can support it by purchasing via Beatport.
